East Coast Cycling Club is largely a social cycling club that offers a great, friendly environment for all, from beginners to competitive cyclists. So if you are thinking of joining a cycling club, why not give East Coast Cycling a try?
We have four groups from A – E that cater for all manner of riding enthusiasts. So whether you consider yourself a true “Racing Snake” or just a “Weekend Warrior” you’ll be sure to be riding in a group that suits your riding needs.
We’re all about the community that the shared passion of cycling gives to us. We’re not just about “The Ride” – getting to know one another is equally important. That’s why we typically round off every ride with a nice relaxed coffee where we can all unwind and shoot the breeze. We also have our own Facebook page making it even easier to share that passion through social media.
We have a proud cycling history within the club. In fact, we are one of the few who have made the inaugural TransAfrica ride from Durban to Port Nolloth. You can read more about that incredible journey in the 1989 NAPPA newsletter here.
We make it a point to have a routine ride that takes place for all Road Cyclists every Saturday morning. Barring any inclement weather we keep this as regular as possible.
Club RidesFeel like hitting the mud rather than the tar? We've got you! We also have Club Rides for mountain bike riders.
Club RidesOur riding routes may change every now and then to keep things interesting and challenging - but we always meet at the same place.
RoutesMost times every ride ends with a good cup of coffee and a chance to get to know each other. We're all about building the riding community together.
Find UsThe more people we can share our passion with - the better! As such, we’re always on the lookout for more members. Click on if you’d like to find out more about just how easy it is to become a part of the ECCC family.
